Former Rep. Paul Sadler to Head The Wind Coalition

Former Texas Rep. Paul Sadler, a Democrat who served in the Texas House from 1991 to 2003, has accepted the position of executive director for the Wind Coalition, a regional trade group of wind power producers that advocates for the continued development of wind resources in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas territory and the Southwest Power Pool.

"The responsible development of renewable sources of energy like wind power can help us generate additional new energy capacity while protecting the air we breathe," says Sadler. "We can increase our energy capacity, protect our environment and stimulate rural economies through the continued development of wind energy resources."

The Wind Coalition includes more than 25 companies involved in wind industry development, manufacturing and construction. It also includes public interest groups such as Texas Public Citizen and the Environmental Defense Fund.
